How to save water
- Wash paintbrushes in containers of water instead of under running water
- Collect rainwater from the roof in a safe tub and refuse it to water the garden
- When cleaning, where possible use a bucket of water instead of a hose
- Regularly monitor taps etc to check for leaks and drips.
- Reduce water flow pressure on taps
- Cover the swimming pool when not in use to prevent evaporation
- Install controls on urinals so they flush only when used
- Install or convert toilets to a dual flush system
- Use water bottles instead of drinking fountain
